A great turnout tonight, we commenced class with a warm-up drill consisting of 24 blocks taken from Gyokko Ryu Kosshijutsu. Jodan uke, jodan uke nagashi, jodan daken uke. Received both on the inside and the outside, migi and hidari (right and left), and then the same again against kicks for gedan uke, gedan uke nagashi, gedan daken uke.

Most of the class worked on Jumonji no Kata 十文字之型, 3rd waza in both the Kosshi Kihon Sanpo Gata from Gyokko Ryu Kosshijutsu, and the Bujinkan Kihon Happo 季翻初崩.

Four of our newcomers graded to 9th Kyu last night so congratulations to Shireen Datta, Vedran Milovac, Luka Roca, John O'Connor. Well done guys!

After the break, the rest of the kyu grades worked on their upcoming tests, while the dan grades continued on Kukishinden Jojutsu, moving on to "Kyu Ho" 九法 (nine methods).

Finally, some of the the dan ranks stayed back to prepare mats for the upcoming Tameshigiri 試し斬り session this Wednesday coming.
