There are two ways to start training with us -- Enroll in a dedicated beginner's course, or just jump in and start attending classes.
If you'd like to start straight away, you need to contact the dojo first to explain who you are and what you are looking for. Mail us at email@example.com.
Tell us a little about yourself, any training history you might have etc. Presuming your training goals are a good match for what we do, we'll invite you to attend training.
Following this route, you can do two class for free to get a feel for the people, place and training. After this we'll ask you to make a decision on whether you want to continue attending classes and sign up to a monthly training fee. Fee details can be found on this page.
For your first two classes, you just need to turn up with loose fitting clothes suitable for exercising in, along with clean socks as we don't wear shoes on our mats, and we'll take it from there. You'll get tuition from qualified black belt teachers suitable to your level. If you sign up to continue training after two weeks, we'll provide you with a training uniform, white belt and printed training manual.
Alternatively . . .
If you'd prefer, you could also sign up for a dedicated 8 week course. These courses are run every so often and are designed to give you a basic introduction to how things are done in the Bujinkan Dojo.
We presume no previous experience and start from the very beginning, from how to wear a uniform and tie a belt, how to warm up, how to stretch, how to fall without hurting yourself and how to perform the basic exercises that act as a foundation for skill.
Beginner’s training is held on Monday evenings from 6:30pm to 7:30pm at our Harold’s Cross facility. Courses cost €80 and includes a professionally printed training guide and a black training uniform with white belt. Training is open to all suitable candidates over the age of 16 and men and women are equally welcome. If you’d like to take part in the next course we’re running, please leave us your e-mail address and name using the form on the top left of this page.
There is also a Facebook event page for the course here.
